Wellington is th ecapital of New Zealand, the country's second largest urban area and the most populous national capital in Oceania. It is in the Wellington region at the southern tip of the North Island, near the geographical centre of the country.

The award-winning Wellington Cable Car Museum brings to life the story of Wellingtonians and their iconic cable cars. Situated within the original Winding House, the Museum is home to a nationally significant collection including two of the original grip cars and the historic winding machinery once used to haul the cars up the incline.
